The present study interrogates how far, in what form, and to what effect India-Pakistan conflict has lent itseff to a third party role in the past and what essential preconditions and contextual factors impeded or assisted such a role. An evaluative and qualitative enquiry into the theoretical understanding of the link between mediation and conflict resolution and an international role in this conflict.
